Book of Revelation Summary
This is a summary of the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. We probably should have done the first, but it is a helpful review and summary. I use the book “A Theology of the New Testament” by George Eldon Ladd for this review.
Revelation 22:8-21 Closing Statements
John brings the book to a close. He makes statements regarding the veracity of this vision; regarding the soon-coming of the Lord Jesus; and the duty of mankind. He urges those who hear (and read) this book to give heed to the prophecy.
Revelation 22:3-7 They Will See His Face …
To see the face of God and to be in His Presence. Wow. This is the desire of the ages. Let’s look at the ramifications.
Revelation 21:22-22:2 The City of God
An expanded discussion of the City of God which came down from the heavens, the river of the water of life, and the tree of life. We touch briefly on the earth and the inhabitants thereof.
Revelation 21:1-21 The New Heaven and the New Earth
John got to see the most beautiful vision anyone has ever seen. He saw the New Heaven and the New Earth, the New Jerusalem, the City of God. Paul said the mind of man cannot even understand what God has in store for those who love Him.
Revelation 20:5-15 The Messianic Era
The souls of the martyrs? The dead come to life? The first resurrection? The second death? Christ reigns for 1,000 years? What are we to make of all this? This is our discussion today, but questions will linger 🙂
Revelation 20:4 The Millennium, Different Views
This is the only chapter in the Bible that actually discusses ‘The Millennium,” The period of time in which Jesus will reign on earth for 1,000 years. This forces a discussion of ‘The Rapture.’ These are our topics today.
Revelation 20:1-3 The Millennium
We are introduced to the “Millennium” in this chapter. I will discuss the separate opinions or interpretations of this time frame and give my own understanding of this important time.
Revelation 19:11-21 The Rider on the White Horse
We are almost at the culmination of “This Present Age.” The Beast and the False Prophet meet their demise, and the rider on the white horse begins His victory campaign over the nations.
Revelation 19:1-10 Hallelujah!
Finally!! We arrive at the point where the worldly systems in rebellion against God are going DOWN. This is pure good news from here on out, for the believers, not for the unbelievers.
