Paul is not only a master of Theology, he has an acute knowledge of Roman law and procedure. In this episode he maneuvers the court to get him to Rome in fulfillment of the declaration of Jesus in Acts 23:11. It is amusing to watch him manipulate the courts in his favor.

The prophets earlier warned Paul against going to Jerusalem, But God wanted him to go there. Sure enough, trouble came from some Jews who followed him from Asia (Jews who did not believe Jesus is the Messiah). Paul did not start the trouble, but he is in the midst of it, again.

Once again the town is in an uproar because of the teaching of Paul. This time not from the Jews, but from some of the business people. They believe that if Paul is successful in making converts their trade of making idols and figurines will suffer great financial loss. They incite a riot. What does this tell us about the effect of the Church on Society?

A Jew named Apollos? We meet Apollos and remark on his humility. Paul travels to Ephesus during this, his third Missionary Journey. He stays there nearly three years with the result that the word of the Lord is carried to all the residents of Asia.
